THE Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has set March 27 as the registration deadline for the November 2026 Zimbabwe School Examinations (ZIMSEC) Ordinary and Advanced Level exams.
The Ministry’s director of communications and advocacy, Taungana Ndoro, said all schools and examination centres must use the online registration system.
“Heads of centres bear full responsibility for accurate candidate data submission. No results will be issued to candidates who fail to sit for all learning area (subject) components,” he said.
Ndoro outlined the key registration requirements for schools and exam centres, which include a minimum of 10 candidates per centre at both Ordinary and Advanced Level; private candidates must present valid identification documents (national ID, passport, driver’s licence, or certified birth certificate); special needs candidates must have their requirements accurately indicated during registration and candidates must verify and sign off on their registration details before submission.
He warned them against unethical practices.
“The Ministry warns against unethical practices such as registering school candidates as private candidates to manipulate pass rates. That is a breach of examination regulations and attracts consequences of great displeasure,” said Ndoro.
