Zimbabwe’s growing men’s movement and talk-forum, Dare Remachinda continues to create safe spaces for men where they engage and share ideas and on Sunday hosted men at Rainbow Towers at a Father’s Day event.

Hosted by popular radio personality Phathisani Sibanda speakers included lawyer Arthur Marara, doctor Misheck Ruwende, traditional medicine doctor Brian Chatindo, professor Blessing Nyahuma and preachers Elder Machando and Evangelist Sam Marufu.

The event was a response to the growing call for responsible manhood, mental health awareness, family accountability, financial and legal literacy.

“This was an event in partnership with Rainbow Towers and we are happy men came out. We believe a problem shared is a problem solved and with our rich and diverse panel we believe we helped a lot.

“There were a lot of medical issues raised by the gathering and we had experts in the field of medicine and traditional medicines and the nuggets they shared helped a lot of men,” Dare Remachinda media director Frank Mrewa said.

“Legal issues were addressed, mental health issues and we had family issues being solved. Our idea is to encourage and promote responsible manhood,” he added.

The group also made guest appearance at another Fathers Day event at Baradzanwa in Mazowe which was headlined by award winning singer Jah Prayzah.
Evangelist Marufu and Professor Nyahuma shared the gospel of responsible fatherhood.

“It was honour to be invited at such a huge event and sharing our gospel with people from different backgrounds and offices. Appearing on the same stage with a huge artist like Jah Prayzah is something we appreciate and thanks to the Ministry of Tourism for the opportunity,” Mrewa said.

Dare Remachinda is growing in popularity with huge following on various social media platforms and now venturing into the corporate spaces engaging employees in wellness sessions.

The show features resident panelists and a number of guests including on various episodes, discussing men’s issues.

Mrewa said the diaspora community is also catered for and that this year they have been in South Africa through a partnership with AFM Randburg.

“Thanks to the guidance of our leader Obey Chimuka we have managed to grow the brand. So far this year we have to different provinces such as Manicaland where we had another successful event in Mutare. We were also in Hwange courtesy of ZPC Hwange and we are getting a lot of engagements spreading our gospel of responsible manhood,” he said.
